Sulee was created in 2008 by interior and product designer, Ashley Redmond. Before creating Sulee, Ashley ran her own interior design firm in San Francisco, Ca that eventually led her to open a retail home store in Jersey City, NJ. After working on the retail end of the business, Ashley was inspired to meld her love for the home, candles and environmentally green products to create her own wholesale line of products, which began with Sulee Candles.

Along with Sulee, Ashley is also the co-founder and designer for the emerging textiles brand Branch Handmade. Ashley currently resides in a house on the water with her partner in life and business, Todd as well as their two rescued dogs Olive and Pixel.
